Java Developer Part Time Bootcamp 

Total Hours: 480

Duration: 24 weeks
Schedule: 6 to 9 p.m. plus Saturday classes, totaling 18 hours per week

Saad Iqbal


With over 15 years of industry experience & 5 years in technical education, Saad has led diverse software projects across defense, education and e-commerce sectors. His work spans across team leadership, full-cycle software development and strategic process improvements.

Saad is a BS holder in Computer Science & has a MS in Computer Engineering. He is currently a Senior Lead Instructor at GA Bahrain, while also freelancing, mentoring, and actively contributing to the tech community. Outside of work Saad loves Table Tennis & travelling with family members.


Michael Lackey

Michael is a seasoned professional with 15 years of experience in healthcare and healthcare management across Texas and New York, complemented by over 5 years in tech education with General Assembly. Having taught more than 33 courses to over 1,000 students, he combines extensive industry knowledge with strong instructional expertise.

Michael began his journey at General Assembly as a software course participant and progressed to become a Lead Instructor in Software Engineering. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys basketball, miniature painting, reading, and spending quality time with his wife and dogs.
